Episode 38 - Mr. Dressup

Not much is more iconic in Canada than the CBC children's show, Mr. Dressup. Our childhood mornings consisted of colouring, crafts, singing, and dressing up and playing with Mr. Dressup, Casey and Finnegan. Film maker Rob McCallum is exploring the legacy of the show that made Ernie Coombs' character a part of every Canadian household for more than 30 years and 5 generations. He has traveled the country interviewing the people behind the show to make a new documentary. Where are the treehouse and the Tickle Trunk now? Why did Casey and Finnegan disappear? MC Skat Kat was the famous cartoon cat that danced, rapped, and sang with Paula Abdul in one of the biggest hits of the early '90's - "Opposites Attract". Off the success of that track, the character even had an album of their own. 3 musicians provided the voice of MC Skat Kat. One of those voices - OneGunn - joins me on the podcast to talk MC Skat Kat, his projects Mazarati, The Wild Pair, and his solo work, and working with both Prince and Paula Abdul. Craig shares about their relationship with Kids In The Hall and Warren Zevon, and the concert he watched from the top of the slide that changed his life.
